This unique property is triangle shaped and is totally private from the road with no neighbours in sight! The land is very diverse with a level area that was once garden and still has the old fruit trees. The garden area could easily be reclaimed and be productive again. There is a magical moss covered bluff area to the north. The property is located in the popular south end of the island close to Cortes Bay. It is easy to get to services, lakes, beaches and trails from this location yet it is very private and you feel like you are in the wilds.
The older cabin is full of charm and surprising little touches. It offers an open living dining area plus cozy bedroom on the main floor. There is a small covered deck off the dining area that overlooks an open cleared area. There is an old claw foot tub and sink in a sunken bath area. The utility room currently acts as a kitchen with fridge, stove, freezer and washer dryer hook up. There is a kitchen sink and counter in the dining area. Upstairs there is a spacious room that is accessed via a ladder. Currently it is a bedroom but could also be an office or den. There is another room with a separate entrance that could be a bedroom, office or den. Out buildings include a service building, storage shed, wood shed and outhouse. There is power and phone to the cabin. Water is from a dug well plus cistern for use when the well water runs low. There is also a drilled well on the property that has never been used.
The unfinished studio space is separate from the cabin and perched atop a moss covered rocky knoll. A lot of work has been done on the studio but there is more to be done to finish it. Power has been installed as far as the studio but can not be hooked up until the studio wiring is finished. Water could be from the drilled well.
